Swedish top-flight club IF Elfsborg has officially confirmed that young Ghanaian defender Rufai Mohammed will continue his loan spell at IFK Värnamo.

The two clubs have agreed to extend the deal, allowing the center-back to stay with Värnamo until the end of the x2025 season.

Rufai, who joined Värnamo on loan from Elfsborg, has been enjoying regular minutes and steady development since making the switch. His strong performances and consistent growth on the field have impressed the technical teams of both clubs.

The decision to prolong his loan is seen as a strategic move aimed at giving the talented defender more time to mature in a competitive environment. By staying at Värnamo, he is expected to gain even more experience and sharpen his skills in top-tier football.

The club remains committed to nurturing young talent through smart loan arrangements that benefit both the player and the teams involved.

The young Ghanaian player is expected to return to Elfsborg at the end of the season in Sweden.
