The Black Princesses of Ghana eased past Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium earlier on Wednesday, May 17, as they secured a win with an 11-0 scoreline ahead of the WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations.
The Black Princesses were ruthless in the first half, scoring eight goals against their opponents to give themselves a break and relax in the second 45 minutes.
Faith Ladies forward Maafia Nyame started the scoring in the fourth minute, which was doubled eight minutes later by Faiza Seidu.
Stella Nyamekye, Ghana’s captain, scored from the penalty spot before Nyamekye added her second goal to make it 4-0.
Nyamekye scored again in the 24th minute, and Seidu added another a minute later to put Basigi’s well up.
The coach made adjustments to his lineup in the second half, but Ghana maintained its momentum, with Stella scoring a hat trick.
Tracy Twum and substitute Mary Amponsah finished the job for the Black Princesses.
