Bayer 04 Leverkusen forward Callum Hudson-Odoi has reportedly rescinded his decision to switch nationality to play for Ghana at the senior level.
According to multiple media reports, the forward has taken a long term solution to his nationality allegiance as he has opted not to commit to Ghana for now.
The Chelsea player on loan at the German Bundesliga side, Bayer 04 Leverkusen hopes to get a chance to represent the Three Lions of England.
He has already played three games for the English National Team but remains eligible to play for Ghana’s Black Stars per the new FIFA rules.
He was expected to be named in Black Stars coach Otto Addo’s final 26 man squad for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar later this month but excused himself as he’s yet to make his final decision.
The 22-year-old English-born Ghanaian has one assist in nine matches this season for Leverkusen since he joined on loan from Chelsea FC.
