The lanky attacker was at the end of a career threatening tackle by Lions midfielder, Rashid Abubakar after 37 minutes played inside the first half.
Obeng Jnr latched onto a loose ball inside his own area and was looking to start a counter attack for his team before his run was halted by the unrushing midfielder.
Abubakar got the right angle of the player who was wailing after the challenge on the field and had to be substituted by Samuel Boadu.
The Phobians scored through Daniel Afriyie Barnieh in the 11th minutes before the end of the first 45 minutes of the match to put the visitors 1-0 up.
