Former Ghana U20 midfielder Salim Adams has rejoined Hearts of Oak, marking his return to the Ghanaian giants following the conclusion of his loan stint at FC Cincinnati 2.
Salim Adams, a 21-year-old youngster, completed a season-long loan deal with American side FC Cincinnati 2, where he made 23 appearances, scoring one goal and providing an assist.
The loan deal, valued at $50,000 with an option to buy, has ended, with FC Cincinnati choosing not to exercise the clause for a permanent transfer.
Adams, who initially joined Hearts of Oak from Division One League side New Edubiase United, played a crucial role in the Phobians’ MTN FA Cup triumph during the 2021/22 season.
It is anticipated that Salim Adams will be registered to reinforce Hearts of Oak’s squad for the second round of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
Hearts of Oak currently faces challenges in the Ghana Premier League, having failed to secure a win in their last four matches.
As of match-week fifteen of the 2023/24 season, the one-time CAF Champions League titleholders find themselves in 10th position with 17 points.
