Samartex Credit Union has donated a huge sum of money to the Samreboi based club in their quest to annex the Ghana Premier League.

The union decided to support the club with sum of GH¢75,000 to boost the morale of the club with six crucial games to the end of the League.

“We have indeed witnessed your impressive run in the ongoing season so we have decided to reward to you with this, and also encourage the players and officials to keep to hard work to protect the lead. As a matter of fact, we are all overwhelmed about the impressive performance from the players and we promise you that if you’re able to win the league title, there will be a surprise for you again.” The manager of the credit union, Samuel Awuah stated

In response, General Manager Edmund said “I want to sincerely thank the Management and workers of the Credit Union for such a surprise gift and acknowledging our hard work. We can only pay you back by winning the league title. You can be rest assured that we won’t relent in fighting for the league title to bring honour to the people of Samreboi and Wassa Amenfi.”

The club has become a surprise package this season and currently lead the log with 52 points from 28 games. Amadu Nurudeen and his charges have been phenomenal this season. Only in their second season after promotion to the topflight two seasons ago, the Timer giant have been a force to reckon with beating both Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko. The club has been managed very well from the playing body to the administrative side.

Their home venue, Nseknyire sports Arena have become a fortress for the all clubs with their only defeat in week 19 to Nations FC

The Timber giants will automatically be crowned championship if they win their next three games against RTU, Bofoakwa Tano and relegation bound Heart of Lions.
