RC Strasbourg have secured the loan signing of English-born Ghanaian forward Samuel Amo-Ameyaw on the final day of the winter transfer window.
The 18-year-old will remain with the Ligue 1 club until the end of the 2024/25 season, with the potential for a permanent transfer in the summer of 2025.
Confirming the move, RC Strasbourg released an official statement:
**“Southampton have confirmed that winger Sam Amo-Ameyaw has completed a loan move to Strasbourg.
“The 18-year-old has joined the Ligue 1 side for the remainder of the campaign, before an agreed permanent transfer to the club in the summer.”
Amo-Ameyaw, who previously made 12 senior appearances for Southampton and scored one goal, is expected to make an immediate impact in French football.
Although he has represented England at the U19 and U21 levels, he remains eligible to play for Ghana at the senior international stage.
