Samuel Boadu, the head coach of the Black Satellites, has extended an invitation to the first group of players to attend a training camp at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence located in Prampram.
Some players were chosen from the two Black Starlets teams that competed in the recent WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations, while others were selected through a nationwide scouting exercise conducted across Ghana’s ten football regions.
During their stay at the Technical Centre in Prampram, the players will undergo screening, training, and play several test matches. The best ones will be selected to form the core of the next Black Satellites team. A total of about 150 players are expected to participate in the screening process, which begins on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
The Black Satellites did not qualify for the 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt after failing to progress in the WAFU Zone B tournament in 2022. The selected players are required to arrive at camp at 1 pm on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
