Former Black Stars defender Samuel Inkoom has disclosed that a team in the United States has expressed interest in signing Black Princesses striker Mukarama Abdulai.
In the wake of her stellar performance at the 2023 African Games, where she netted three crucial goals, including the title-winning goal against Nigeria in the final, Mukarama has attracted attention from overseas.
Inkoom, who is actively involved in player representation, revealed his efforts to secure a deal for the Hasaacas Ladies striker with an American team.
“There’s one striker (Mukarama) that I’m chasing to sign her in my agency. I’ve already started talking,” Inkoom stated. “I’ve been chasing her because there’s one team in the US that wants her, and they contacted me, and I have to make it happen.”
Mukarama’s journey has been marked by resilience, overcoming initial challenges and criticism to become a standout performer for Ghana. Her pivotal goals in the semifinals against Senegal and the title-clinching strike against Nigeria underscore her importance to the team.
Despite setbacks due to injuries following her remarkable showing at the 2018 U17 World Cup, where she claimed the Golden Boot, Mukarama remains determined to seize opportunities for growth and success, both domestically and internationally.
