Hearts of Oak defender Samuel Inkoom has called on all his teammates to give their utmost effort when representing such a prestigious and historic club.
The Phobians have struggled in the current 2022/23 BetPawa Premier League season, fighting to avoid relegation after 33 rounds of matches. Currently, they hold the 11th position on the league table following a 2-1 home defeat against Real Tamale United in their penultimate game in Accra.
Inkoom, who has faced challenges in terms of playing time recently, expressed his thoughts after the match. He emphasized the significance of playing for Hearts of Oak and the responsibility that comes with it.
“This team is not an ordinary team, so if you are not ready don’t come. It’s for your career because if you joke, you can end your career playing for Hearts of Oak.
“I have played before and I even traveled so I know what they want and I know the meaning of the game. That’s why I said this team is a traditional team.” Samuel Inkoom said in a post-match interview after the RTU defeat.
Hearts of Oak’s final game of the season will be an away match against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park on Sunday, June 11.
