Asante Kotoko legend Sarfo Gyamfi has issued a stern warning to all Ghana Premier League clubs, urging them to be cautious of the Porcupine Warriors’ current form.
The Kumasi-based giants have been in outstanding form, securing four wins and one draw in their last five matches. This impressive run has propelled them to 4th place on the Ghana Premier League table with 28 points after 16 games.
Speaking after witnessing Kotoko’s 2-0 victory over Acceler8z FC in the FA Cup, Gyamfi expressed confidence in the team’s resurgence, insisting it will be challenging for any club to defeat them.
“The team declined at the beginning of the season, but we were the cause of the club’s persistent defeats. We’ve been able to resolve everything and can boldly say Ghana Premier League clubs will struggle to beat us,” he said.
Asante Kotoko will next host league debutants Vision FC at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in their matchday 17 fixture. The Porcupine Warriors are determined to end the first round of the season on a high note with a win over Vision FC.
With their recent form and renewed confidence, Kotoko is sending a clear message to the league: they are back and ready to compete at the highest level.
