Dunfermline Athletic have announced the signing of central defender Nurudeen Abdulai from Ghanaian Premier League side Medeama SC, on a 3 year deal for an undisclosed fee, Subject to visa approval and international clearance.
The 21-year-old centre-back arrives at KDM Group East End Park with impressive credentials, having made 75 appearances in the Ghanaian Premier League and seven in the prestigious CAF Champions League during his time with Medeama SC.
Born in Takoradi, Ghana, Nurudeen has spent his entire professional career to date with Medeama SC, establishing himself as a key figure in their defensive line. His performances have not gone unnoticed at international level, with the towering defender earning call-ups to several Ghana national squad selections and making the bench on three occasions.

Standing at 6ft 2in, Abdulai brings an imposing physical presence to the Pars’ backline. Despite his primary role as a defender, he possesses a keen eye for goal and has developed a reputation for contributing crucial strikes at important moments. His attacking threat from set-pieces was instrumental in helping Medeama SC achieve a historic milestone last season, as they secured qualification for the CAF Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
The defender will link up with his new teammates immediately and will be available for selection pending the completion of all necessary registration procedures.
