Former Liberty Professionals and Elmina Sharks attacker, Felix Addo has made a return to Ghana’s domestic league, the Ghana Premier League with a “new identity”.

Felix Kweku Hammond, as he is currently known, joined Legon Cities in the ongoing transfer window and made an instant impact, scoring on his debut as his side secured a 3-1 victory over King Faisal at the El-wak Stadium last weekend.

The prolific goal scorer has been away from the local scene since leaving Elmina Sharks and his return has stirred loads of controversy with many questioning the brain behind his change of name.

Meanwhile Investigations conducted by SportsWorldGhana indicate that, as the striker’s name has changed from “Felix Addo” to “Felix kweku Hammond”, so has his birth date also changed.

“Felix Addo”, per details in the FIFA Connect player registration portal, is still affiliated with Division One League side Elmina Sharks FC with “6th May 1993” as his date of birth, which makes him 29 years of age.

“Felix Kweku Hammond” on the other hand is registered with Legon Cities FC with “6th January 2001” as his date of birth making him 22 years of age.

It however remains unclear which club first registered Felix Kweku Hammond before his transfer to Legon Cities FC.

Felix first appeared on the local scene with Liberty Professionals in the 2015-16 season before joining Elmina Sharks from at the start of the 2016-17 season.
