Former Nigerian goalkeeper Ike Shorunmu has tasked Augustine Eguavoen to change his tactics against Ghana in the impending world cup play off.
Shorunmu stressed that Ghana will be a tough customer so Eguavoen must have a second plan to ensure that the Super Eagles sails through to Qatar.
“I am optimistic that the Super Eagles will qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. However, I believe the technical crew under the watchful eyes of Austine Eguavoen would done their home work by analysing the mistakes they made against Tunisia and ensuring that such mistakes doesn’t repeat itself.” Shorunmu told Complete Sports.
“Ghana will definitely be a tough test for Eagles due to the rivalry between the two teams. But then, a situation whereby things are getting more complicated, I expect the technical crew to twist his tactics in a bod to achieve his result.” He added.
Ghana will host Nigeria in the first leg at Cape Coast with the return leg set for Lagos.
