Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Ibrahim Danlad, has called on the club to recruit the best players in the league to boost their performance next season.
The club parted ways with 21 players last season, citing underperformance, and some senior players failed to renew their contracts.
According to Danlad, who was a former skipper for the side, the recruitment team should target established and experienced players to blend with the young ones. He made this call during an interview with Kumasi-based Pure FM.
“When I joined Asante Kotoko, I met Stephen Oduro at the club. I will implore the recruitment team of Asante Kotoko to sign the best players in the league,” Danlad said. “I mean the established and experienced players to blend with the young ones to help the club.”
Asante Kotoko are currently negotiating with players ahead of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
They are also preparing for the maiden edition of the Democracy Cup against their rivals, Hearts of Oak on July 17 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
