Christian Lokko, the coach of Skyy FC, is filled with confidence as he aims to secure the Ghana FA Cup title this season.
His Division One League team is set to face Dreams FC at the Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Saturday.
During the pre-match conference on Thursday, Lokko expressed his belief that his players are highly motivated and eager to secure victory against the Premier League club.
Having been involved in the system for a significant period of time, Lokko feels the moment has arrived for him to achieve success. He previously reached the finals during the normalization period and is determined to win the Cup this time around with the grace of God.
Lokko also acknowledged his friendship with Karim Zito, his course mate, and mentioned that it provides additional motivation.
He said: “What I want to say is that my players are highly motivated. They have the intrinsic motivation and the extrinsic motivation. This is the team that I have come, I met them half way and I have seen that the work has been done already. Victory is ours.
“…Our duty is to train the boys. The Boys’ duty is to play and play very well. Other matter is for management.”
“I have been in the system for a very longtime, the hour has come because I have been at this level before. During the normalization period, I went to the finals and now, I am on the road to the finals one more time and this time around, I’m winning the Cup by the grace of God. Karim Zito is my course mate and a good friend so he has something to think off”
In addition to their pursuit of the FA Cup, Skyy FC is also in the race for promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
