Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo grabbed the headlines after his cameo for Ghana against Central African Republic on Thursday evening.
The Black Stars sealed qualification to the Africa Cup of Nations for the 10th consecutive time after the 2-1 win over their opponents at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Mohammed Kudus and Ernest Nuamah scored the goals for Chris Hughton’s side but it was Semenyo, whose performance grabbed the attention of Ghanaians.
The forward replaced Inaki Williams in the 69th minute of the game and provided the assist for Nuamah for the winning goal.
The Bournemouth man should have also had a goal but his shot from just outside the box came off the post.
