Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl has hinted that he is talking with Mohammed Salisu over the possibility of playing for Ghana though he cannot force the player.
Salisu has already turned down five invites from Ghana and now his coach has added his voice to it though he maintains that the player has the right to decide what he wants to do.
“It is an interesting question , and we are always talking about it,” Hasenhuttl told Hampshirelive in relations to why the player is not featuring for Ghana
“I don’t know whether it changes now, but I think it doesn’t help because the team made it to the World Cup and they deserve to play there, and he was not part of it. But what happens in the future, I don’t know, it is his decision.” He added.
Salisu has been in fine form for the Saints making thirty EPL appearances this season.
