Southampton manager Russell Martin has heaped praise on Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana following his impressive showing in their recent match against Middlesbrough.
Sulemana, who earned a starting role after a prolonged spell on the sidelines, played a vital role in securing a 1-1 draw for Southampton in the English Championship clash.
Martin expressed his satisfaction with Sulemana’s performance, citing his exemplary work ethic and notable contributions during the game.
“He trained really well. He deserved to play. He did some really good stuff and did some stuff that he needs to improve on but he hasn’t played for a long time,” the Saints manager said.
Despite Sulemana’s positive display, Martin emphasized the need for the young winger to continue honing his skills and maintaining a diligent work ethic to further enhance his performance on the field.
“I’m pleased he was out there and did the things that he did. There are some really brilliant bits in there.
“The way he’s trained over the last month or two has been outstanding. So hopefully today will be good for him moving forward,” Manager Russel Martin said.
