Southampton, an English Championship side, has turned down two offers from Monaco for the services of Ghanaian international Mohammed Salisu.

While the club is willing to part ways with the talented Black Stars defender, they are adamant about waiting for the right deal to materialize.

Since the conclusion of the 2022/23 football season, numerous European clubs have been monitoring Salisu’s performances. Southampton is well aware of the interest in the player and the challenges they may face in retaining him after their relegation last season. However, they are not in a hurry to let go of the exceptional center-back.

Southampton has great faith in Mohammed Salisu’s skills and aspirations to profit from any potential transfer. Despite the rejection of the initial bids, Monaco remains keen on the player and is planning to submit another offer before the month ends.

On the other hand, Mohammed Salisu has expressed his openness to staying at Southampton if the move to Monaco falls through. He is willing to help the club in their quest to secure promotion to the English Premier League.
