Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu, has expressed excitement following his impressive display in the Saints draw against Defending Champions Manchester City over the weekend in the English Premier League.
Salisu, 22, put in another top performance against Manchester City as Southampton held the Citizens to a 1-1 draw last Saturday.
Mohammed Salisu has what it takes to become one of the greatest defenders in Europe in the coming years but the Ghanaian will need to move to a bigger club.
The former Real Valladolid center back has made the most interceptions in the Premier League this season with 53 interceptions.
The former Real Valladolid star defender took to his official Instagram page to celebrate the important draw.
“Tough fought tonight, great effort from the lads. Thanks to the fans for great support.” Salisu wrote.
The 22-year old has shown a lot of potential and is tipped by many to reach greater heights.
Many believe Salisu can follow the path of Virgil van Dijk who moved to Liverpool from Southampton where he has won both the Champions League and the Premier League.
Mohammed Salisu contract at Southampton runs till June 2024 but Southampton will be willing to sell him when a fortune arrives.
