Real Betis Balompie, a prominent team in the Spanish topflight, has completed the signing of the talented Ghanaian youngster, Mawuli Mensah.
The 19-year-old midfielder sealed a promising three-year contract with the La Liga side, making the move from Antequera CF during the summer transfer window.
Mensah’s versatility and remarkable performance in Antequera CF’s promotion to the First RFEF league caught the attention of Manuel Pelligrini’s team.
Real Betis Balompié officially announced the successful agreement between them and Antequera CF for the transfer of Mawuli Mensah to the first Verdiblanco subsidiary. The young Ghanaian footballer, born on November 15, 2003, in Acra, is now associated with the Club de las Trece Barras until 2026.
Expressing his delight at joining the club, Mensah conveyed his ambition to make a significant impact in the forthcoming season, stating, “I’m very happy for this opportunity. My dream is to go up to the first team.”
While Mensah’s potential is recognized, Real Betis Balompie plans to carefully integrate him into the first team under the guidance of Manuel Pelligrini. The talented midfielder will initially train with the youth setup as he acclimates to his new environment.
Prior to his venture to Spain, Mawuli Mensah displayed his skills while playing for the Ghanaian side, Shooting Stars. Now, he looks forward to making a mark with Real Betis as he embarks on a new chapter in his football journey.
