Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus has joined the Ghana Black Stars camp as they gear up for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification matches against Angola and Niger. The West Ham United forward arrived on Monday evening and is set to take part in the team’s training session on Tuesday.
The Black Stars are preparing for these crucial AFCON qualifiers, with the first round of matches taking place in Morocco. The team held its initial training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, although only 10 players were present at the time. Those who trained included key figures like Thomas Partey, Tariq Lamptey, and Joseph Wollacott, alongside other talented players such as Ibrahim Osman, Antoine Semenyo, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.
The addition of Kudus, who has been in outstanding form for West Ham United, is a major boost for the team as they get ready for these important games. His presence strengthens the squad as they aim to secure a spot in the upcoming AFCON tournament.
More players are expected to join the camp before the team heads to Kumasi to face Angola on September 5 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. Following this match, the Black Stars will travel to Niger for their first away game of the qualifiers.
Under the leadership of head coach Otto Addo, the Black Stars are determined to qualify for the AFCON tournament and are counting on the unwavering support of their fans as they embark on this challenging journey.
