Ugandan forward, Steven Mukwala scored his maiden goal for Asante Kotoko on Sunday, August 28, when they faced Simba SC in a pre-season game.
The striker, who arrived from the Ugandan top-flight ahead of the 2022/23 season opened the scoring after just nine minutes into the game to give Kotoko the lead.
However, the Porcupine Warriors failed to protect their lead as the Tanzanian side scored three goals before the end of the opening 45 minutes.
Right from recess, Simba SC grabbed their fourth of the game before Stephen Amakona reduced the deficit to make it 4-2.
With a return to the CAF Champions League on the cards, the Ghanaian side are hoping to use these friendly games to test their weight before the start of their journey in the club competition.
Mukwala will look to bang in goals for the Kumasi-based side when the season officially gets underway on May September 5 against Hearts of Oak in the Super Cup.
