Alexander Djiku (27 years old, 33 games and 1 goal in all competitions for the 2021-2022 season) will not go to Hoffenheim this summer and his club Strasbourg must find a way to sell him before he leaves for free next year.
While the transfer for an amount of 6 million euros seemed to be completed, the German club threw in the towel after his representative demanded “an increase in his commission at the last moment”.
An attitude that did not please the leaders of the German training, who simply decided to put an end to the discussions.
Djiku’s current deal at Strasbourg expires in 2023 and he has refused to sign a contract extension.
