Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, the Administrative Manager of Asante Kotoko, has launched a scathing critique against Takyi Arhin, the General Manager of Aduana Stars, following the controversial 2-1 defeat in Dormaa.
Dasoberi attributes the decline in Ghanaian football to individuals like Takyi Arhin, whom he labels a “hooligan” and accuses of consistently inciting actions that tarnish the sport’s image.
In an interview on Onua FM’s Onua Sports Centre, Mr. Dasoberi did not mince words, stating, “Takyi Arhin is a liar, and he’s always the reason why bad things happen to Asante Kotoko in Dormaa.”
He further alleged that Arhin incited the people of Dormaa against Asante Kotoko, despite instructions from the club president, George Gyawu, to treat them well. Dasoberi expressed concern that such individuals are contributing to the decline of football in Ghana.
“He incited the people of Dormaa against us even when the president of the club, George Gyawu, had instructed him to treat us well. Characters like this are the reason why our football is going down.”
Dasoberi also expressed disappointment with the treatment he received in Dormaa, highlighting an incident where he was forced to stay in a police station until the conclusion of the Aduana Stars and Kotoko game.
