After their 4-0 win over King Faisal in the matchday 30 games, the President of Tamale City, Mohammed Abu Nurudeen Opele, has awarded the team an amount of Ghc10,000.
The home game at the Aliu Mahama Stadium saw Sammy Osei Akoto score first after just five minutes, followed by a brace from Sampson Eduku, bringing his total goal count to 12, and a final goal from Godknows Jakpasu in the second half.
The win has kept Tamale City’s chances of avoiding relegation alive. The President praised the players and the Chief Executive Officer of the club, Mohammed Iddi, presented the award after the game.
Tamale City is now placed 9th on the league log with 39 points and will play against Gold Stars in their matchday 31 game next weekend at Bibiani.
