Tanzanian outfit, Singida Black Stars FC have announced the signing of highly-rated Ghanaian defender Ibrahim Imoro on a permanent deal.
The 24-year-old left-back has been unattached since terminating his contract with Sudanese heavyweights Al Hilal SC in July last year due to the war in the country.
Imoro, who has made 10 appearances for Al Hilal in the 2022-23 CAF Champions League season, has been attracting a lot of interest from other clubs. Before the war, he was impressing in the Sudanese Premier League, scoring one of the best goals and helping his team to a top-tier performance. The championship was cancelled.
The former Asante Kotoko player made his debut for the Ghana national team in March 2021 when he came on as a substitute in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sao Tome and Principe. He was named on the bench for Ghana’s recent CECAFA Kagame Cup match against APR FC.
Imoro becomes the second Ghanaian player to join Singida Black Stars FC ahead of the upcoming season, following midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh.
