The Ghana Football Association, saluted legendary striker Asamoah Gyan as after he announced his retirement from football, thanking him for the good memories he offed the country.
Gyan, former Black Stars captain on Tuesday 20th June, 2023 declared his retirement from football.
The 37-year-old made his decision official at the African Export-Import Bank’s (Afreximbank) 30th annual meeting in Accra.
Gyan retires as Ghana’s all-time leading scorer, with 51 goals in 109 games.
He had an 18-year club career, beginning with Liberty Professionals in 2003 and ending with a brief stay at Legon Cities in 2021.
Meanwhile, FIFA and CAF, have all paid their respective tributes to the former Al-Ain and Sunderland striker.
