Black Stars right-back Tariq Lamptey says his teammates made it easier for him to settle in the national team after switching nationality to represent Ghana.
The Brighton and Hove Albion defender was part of five players who switched nationality to play for Ghana ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Tariq in total has four appearances for the Black Stars including two games at the Mundial where he featured against Portugal and South Korea.
Quizzed on his time with the team and how he is settling, Tariq told Joy Sports: “The boys have been fantastic. The coaching staff, everyone involved has been welcoming to me and I am really enjoying my time,” he told Joy Sports in an exclusive interview talking about his time with the team.”
“We have a really good squad and we are looking forward to working hard and listening to what the coach has to say, improving and achieving our goals.”
