Ajax midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, says the UEFA Champions League is a competition every kid dreams of playing and is determined to succeed in.
Kudus, just like his ambition, has been off to a flying start in the Champions League this season scoring two goals in two games for Ajax so far.
The 22-year-old scored in the win over Rangers on the opening day before finding the back of the net against Liverpool in the matchday two loss.
Kudus, speaking to Ajax’s media team was enjoying the plaudits of playing in Europe’s biggest club competition.
“The Champions League is the stage you want to show yourself at,” he said.
“The World Cup and the Champions League are the tournaments you dream of as a kid. The home and away game vs Napoli is really important, we need a result in both games because the group is very tight.”
Ajax faced Napoli on Tuesday hoping to secure a vital win and give themselves a chance of making it out of the group stage.
