Hearts of Oak’s head coach, Martin Koopman, has acknowledged the challenge of player selection due to the similar fitness levels among his squad members.
The Phobians have secured three points from their first two games of the season, with an opening loss to Real Tamale United (1-0) at the Aliu Mahama Stadium followed by a victory against Nsoatreman (1-0) at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The defending FA Cup champions are scheduled to face Tano Bofoakwa, a team making a return to the Premier League, at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Saturday, September 30, at 3:00 pm.
Koopman explained, “I always look balance in the team because a lot of players are at the same level and sometimes it is not easy for the coach”
He further elaborated on his selection process, saying, “We have a young squad and when I said five players were on the same level and sometimes I choose for another balance. If I want more attacking, then I use another midfield maybe also another winger.
Koopman emphasized the unity within the team, stating, “So all together we are one family so I have to choose and that is the way to make success.” Martin Koopman told StarTimes.
