Desmond Ofei, the head coach of the Black Satellites, has affirmed his commitment to consistency as Ghana’s U20 national team prepares to face Gambia in their next match at the 2023 African Games.
Following a frustrating goalless draw against Congo U20 in their tournament opener, Ofei emphasized his belief in the team’s existing game plan and the quality of the players.
Despite the contentious nature of the Congo match, with Ghana having a goal disallowed for offside, Ofei remains resolute in his approach, opting not to make significant alterations to the team for the upcoming game against Gambia.
Addressing the press, Ofei stated, “I don’t think a lot will change towards the next game. The game plan will stay the same. We have enough quality. We will get it right against Gambia. We won’t adapt to the opponent. We will play our game.”
With the Black Satellites aiming to bounce back from the draw and secure a victory, Ofei’s unwavering confidence and strategic consistency set the tone for an eagerly anticipated encounter against Gambia on March 12 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
