Ghana midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh has expressed joy after scoring his first goal following a long injury setback.
The SC Freiburg II midfielder, in just his second match back from injury, struck a late winner to secure a 3-2 victory over Hessen Kassel. It marked his first goal in over three years after a difficult spell on the sidelines.
Kyereh had earlier made his return in a 4-1 win over Eintracht Trier, where he came off the bench and provided an assist, signalling positive steps in his recovery.
The 28-year-old, once a key figure for Ghana, is now gradually rebuilding his match fitness as he is carefully eased back into action.
After the match, Kyereh shared his excitement on social media, posting: “Chapter One, the journey continues.”
