Ghana’s defender Patric Pfeiffer says FC Augsburg manager, Enrico Maaßen is the reason he signed a long term contract with the club.
The former SV Darmstadt 98 star completed his move to the club as a free agent after leaving the newly promoted team at the end of the season.
According to him, the head coach for the club spoke to him and convinced him about the project which influenced his decision to join.
“The talks with FCA’s management convinced me that Augsburg is the ideal place for me to continue my journey in the Bundesliga.”
The 23 year old defender has signed a 4-year contract until June 2027 after leaving newly promoted team SV Darmstadt 98 at the end of the season.
He was a consistent performer for the Blues as they won the 2022-23 Germany Bundesliga 2 Title to gain promotion to the top-flight league for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
The 23-year-old Ghanaian defender played 24 games in the Bundesliga 2 and scored four goals with one assist to his name leading to his move to FC Augsburg.
