Amid mounting criticism from fans, Hearts of Oak board members have issued a defiant response, declaring that negative comments will not hinder them from achieving their set goals.
The board has come under increased scrutiny, particularly following the dismissal of head coach Martin Koopman, and fans have expressed disappointment in both on and off-field performance, calling for the removal of board members.
In a press conference held on Monday, December 4, the board members directly addressed the criticisms, emphasizing their resolute commitment to the goals they have set.
“The negative comments will not deter us from achieving what we have set for ourselves,” they asserted to the press.
Hearts of Oak has faced recent challenges, including elimination from the MTN FA Cup and a 1-0 defeat against Aduana FC in the Ghana Premier League’s matchday 12, positioning them in the 9th position on the league log with 16 points.
Looking forward, the Phobians aim to reverse their fortunes in the upcoming matchday 13 clash against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, December 17.
