Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has emphasized that his players remain humble and are diligently preparing for their upcoming Ghana Premier League clash against Dreams FC, despite their recent win over Young Apostles.
The Phobians showcased a spirited performance last weekend, defeating the newly promoted side 2-1 in Wenchi, and are now aiming to secure back-to-back victories for the first time this season as they face the struggling Still Believe lads at the Tuba AstroTurf in Kasoa on Sunday.
While Dreams FC are winless this season, Hearts of Oak remain unbeaten in their last four matches.
When asked about the impact of the win against Young Apostles, Ouattara remarked, “The solidarity is there already. The team spirit is there, but we see from that match that the boys are still humble and working hard.”
He continued, “And one of the advantages is that all the players know now that everybody can play, and everybody can score. That’s one of the achievements; that spirit is coming along slowly. It’s not, what do you call it, high backs. It’s the beginning, I think. We can encourage the boys, and we need that encouragement.”
As they head into the game, Hearts of Oak sits ninth on the Ghana Premier League table with eight points, while Dreams FC languishes in second from bottom with just three points from six games.
