Nora Häuptle, head coach for Ghana’s Black Queens team believes her team could have recorded a big margin win over their opponents Guinea on Friday, July 14, 2023 in Conakry.

The gaffer believes her team played very well and deserved to win but could have easily won the game with a higher score against the Yellow and Reds on the day.

“I think we’ve had a good start in the Olympic qualifiers. We won this game 3-0. We had a stable start and I think in the end the score should have been much higher.

“In the end, I’m very satisfied. We are looking forward to traveling home to mother Ghana and of course, having the second game,” Coach Nora Hauptle said.

The Queens produced a wonderful performance against Guinea with a 3-0 away win in the first leg of the Paris 2024 Olympic first-round qualifiers in Conakry on Friday, July 14, 2023.

Swift attacker Vivian Adjei Konadu pounced on an error by the Guinean goalkeeper to put Ghana ahead in the 19th minute of the match following a blistering start to the game.

The Queens scored again through Priscilla Adubea to double Ghana’s advantage in the 27th minute to make it 2-0 at the interval.

The home team were reduced to 10-women when Camara Manet was handed her marching orders after a second bookable offense.

Hasaacas Ladies star player Evelyn Badu connected with ease to a neat cross from Mary Amponsah for Ghana’s third goal to put the game to bed.

The match ended with Ghana carrying a 3-0 advantage into the second leg scheduled for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
