Former Ghana international, Frimpong Manso has stated that it will only be good for the Black Stars if Ghana gets their best players available to feature in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Frimpong Manso says people should not be emotionally ridden over who plays for the Black Stars.

Since Ghana booked its qualification to the 2022 World Cup, Majority of Ghanaians have opined that players who have in the past rejected call ups by Ghana should never be entertained again.

Frimpong Manso, however, speaking on Kessben FM said the World Cup is a bigger stage, therefore, the nation should assemble its best players for the Mundial and look beyond emotions.

He pointed out that it does not really matter if the likes of Salisu Mohammed and Inaki Williams have turned down an offer to play for Ghana in the past. He noted that if they are ready to play, the Nation should look at their qualities and take the decision.

The Ghana Football Association is in talks to get Mohammed Salisu, Tariq Lamptey, Inaki Williams, Nico Williams, Eddie Nketiah among others to help the four-time African Champions to compete well in the upcoming mundial.

Meanwhile, Ghana has been drawn in group H of the 2022 World Cup alongside Uruguay, Portugal and South Korea.
