Kojo Yankah, former Chairman of the Western Regional Football Association, has expressed his strong determination to run for the presidency of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
During an interview with Asempa FM, Yankah officially announced his intention to participate in the upcoming GFA presidential election, which is scheduled to take place later this year.
He emphasized that his candidacy aims to bring unity to the football community, which he believes is currently lacking. Yankah highlighted the absence of unity and love within the football fraternity as a significant concern.
“There is no unity and love within the football fraternity,” Kojo Yankah bemoaned.
He continued, “I declared my intention to contest in the next GFA presidential election today.”
With a clear ambition to contest against incumbent GFA President Kurt Okraku, Yankah assured that he is fully prepared for the challenge ahead.
As the election draws closer, it is expected that more individuals will also declare their candidacy for the GFA presidency in the coming weeks.
