Gladson Awako, the captain of the Black Galaxies, thinks the team still has time to find remedies to its flaws before the 2023 Africa Nations Championship.
On Sunday, December 11, a practice match was played between Annor Walker’s team and Accra Hearts of Oak at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
Awako thinks the game was a good test for the team as the Black Galaxies came from behind to defeat Slavko Matic’s club 2-1.
“It wasn’t bad. Both teams played well and it was a very good test for us because we have a competition ahead,” he told Joy Sports after the game.
“Though it is our first friendly, it wasn’t bad and I know we still have time to get ourselves ready.”
Ghana will face Morocco, Madagascar and Sudan in Group C with the tournament scheduled for January 2023 in Algeria.
