Ghana’s Black Stars leader Andre Ayew has welcomed all newly invited players to the team ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.
He has asked them to come with a clean heart and the right idea so everyone in Ghana welcomes them with a good heart to the team.
Six new players that is, Inaki Williams, Stephen Ambrosius, Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer, Mohammed Salisu and Tariq Lamptey all recently switched nationality to play for Ghana.
There has been talks about the players only switching nationality to play for Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar later this year and not because they are ready to die for the nation.
“First of all, the fact that they considered themselves as Ghanaians and are ready to play for Ghana means they are welcome,” he told Graphic Sports.
“We’ll open the door for anybody that can help us to achieve something and for the long term is welcome.
“They should come with the right heart and the right idea and everyone will welcome them into the team,” he added.
