Felix Afena-Gyan has reportedly become the victim of a burglary after thieves allegedly broke into his residence in Bergamo, Italy, while he was away on international duty with the Black Stars.
According to reports, the incident occurred during the striker’s trip to Mexico, where he joined Ghana’s national team for an international friendly as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The burglars are said to have made away with several valuable items from the player’s home, including expensive watches, jewellery, designer bags, shoes and other personal belongings.
Details surrounding the break-in remain unclear, and it is not yet known whether any arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
Afena-Gyan was reportedly absent from his residence at the time, having travelled with the Black Stars for the friendly encounter against Mexico.
The unfortunate incident adds to a growing number of cases involving footballers in Europe becoming targets of burglary while away for matches or international assignments.
The Ghanaian forward is yet to publicly comment on the reported robbery.
