West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus has reacted to his sensational bicycle-kick goal against Manchester City on the final day of the 2023/24 English Premier League season.
The Ghanaian international capped off his first season with West Ham in style, scoring his 14th goal of the season in a match against the eventual champions at the Etihad.
Kudus’s goal gave the Hammers hope before halftime, reducing the deficit after early goals from Phil Foden. However, a second-half strike from Rodri sealed the game, marking the end of manager David Moyes’ tenure with the club.
“As an attacker, I was doing my best to get the team back in the game. We didn’t give up at 2-0. The goal gave the team energy and belief that we could come back, so I am glad it went in. It’s one of those moments where you follow your instincts. I know I have the quality to pull off such feats because this isn’t the first time,” Kudus said in the post-match press conference.
“I just went for it, and I am glad it went in and gave the team the incentive to get back into the game,” he added.
Kudus, who joined West Ham last summer, is already attracting interest from English giants Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window.
