In a behind-closed-doors friendly match held at the TSG Elite Training & Performance Centre, Queens Park Rangers delivered a commanding performance, securing a resounding 4-0 victory over Arsenal U21.
The match, played on Thursday, featured Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Teye Partey, who represented Arsenal U21 for 60 minutes.
Partey’s inclusion in the Arsenal U21 lineup provided a glimpse into his return to action after grappling with match fitness concerns.
Despite his presence on the field, Arsenal U21 struggled to contain Queens Park Rangers’ attacking prowess, as the opposition capitalized on their opportunities to secure a convincing win.
The match served as a valuable opportunity for Partey to regain match fitness and sharpen his skills ahead of future fixtures. However, his participation in the friendly came with consequences, as it was confirmed that he would be unavailable for Ghana’s upcoming double international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda.
The Black Stars will face Nigeria on Friday, March 22, followed by a match against Uganda four days later.
