Barcelona is reportedly exploring the possibility of securing a loan move for Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, as per Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalan club is in search of a midfielder with a profile similar to the injured Gavi for the latter half of the season, and Partey is among seven players under consideration.
Partey, who has been listed for a potential departure from Arsenal, has reportedly expressed his desire to leave in January. Currently recovering from a muscle injury sustained in October, the Ghanaian’s return date remains uncertain, raising concerns about his availability for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Barcelona’s shortlist includes players such as Renato Sanches, Kalvin Phillips, Andrey Santos, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Yann M’Vila, and Grzegorz Krychowiak. Whether the club pursues a move for Partey or any other player from the list is yet to be determined.
