FORMER Arsenal star Thomas Partey has pleaded not guilty to further counts of rape.

The Ghanaian international, 32, is currently facing trial after denying raping two women and sexually assaulting a third.

Partey was charged in February with two additional counts of rape relating to an additional woman.

He appeared at Southwark Crown Court today where he pleaded not guilty to the new charges.

The Crown Prosecution Service said previously the fresh counts come following a new investigation by the Met Police.

A spokesperson said the allegations were first reported in August 2025.

The midfielder pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape and one charge of sexual assault last September.

He allegedly carried out the offences between 2021 and 2022.

The star, who is due to travel with Ghana to the World Cup this summer, is set to stand trial on November 2.

But Judge Tony Baumgartner, the Recorder of Westminster, warned the trial may now be delayed as all the allegations will be heard together.

A pre-trial hearing has been listed at the same court on May 14.

Partey’s contract with Arsenal ended on June 30 last year and was not renewed – making him a free agent.

He has since signed for La Liga club Villarreal.

A probe into the defensive midfielder was launched in February 2022 after officers first received a report of rape.

The Crown Prosecution Service said the charge came after it “carefully reviewed a comprehensive file of evidence”.

Partey was at the Emirates for five years after signing in 2020 from Atletico Madrid, where he won the Europa League.

Partey’s defence lawyer Jenny Wiltshire said following the new charges: “Thomas Partey continues to deny all charges against him. He has cooperated with the police throughout.

“Given there are ongoing legal proceedings, there will be no further comment”
