This means he will miss a Premier League game for the first time this season after playing three straight games for the Gunners.
Arteta has replaced him with Mohammed Elneny in the lineup for the game and hopes to get another win.
The Gunners are now behind Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table but a win will drag them back to the top.
