Orlando Pirates star Timm Miguel has hinted that he advised goalkeeper Richard Ofori to stay out of the G8 finals as the world cup is near.

Timm revealed that it dawned on him the goalkeeper could get injured in the final and miss the world cup so he told him not to being the post.

Ofori however did not heed to the advise as he anxiously wanted to play in the game in which he did and got injured.

“Obviously, we are teammates and I have a good relationship with him,” Timm said.

“The last time we spoke was two days ago and he was still waiting for his results. I also just learned it now. We spoke about the situation because I know he really wanted to play in the final and that was a risk he was willing to take.” Tim pointed out

“He is a big man and he has to live with it. I know he will recover well and I know the World Cup is once in a while, but I just wish him well. I’m going to call him later [yesterday] and wish him a speedy recovery.”

Both Ghana’s two first choice goalkeepers will not be in Qatar due to injuries.
