Medeama SC president Moses Armah Parker has officially announced that the club will play their upcoming CAF Champions League home games at the TnA Stadium, describing the facility as one that meets top international standards.
Speaking during the club’s coronation ceremony, Parker expressed appreciation to supporters for their massive contribution to the team’s success in the Ghana Premier League and stressed the importance of bringing continental football to Tarkwa.
“For the first time, we are bringing Champions League football to Tarkwa. This edifice is the best from GoldFields. It’s FIFA standard and will host CAF Champions League football,” Parker said.
Looking ahead to the continental campaign, the Medeama boss set an ambitious target for the team.
“We will qualify for the group stage, and this time we need to do more,” he declared.
The club recently secured their second league title in history after a commanding 5-2 victory over Heart of Lions.
